Our HistoryPinpoint HRM was founded by recruitment industry luminaries Elizabeth O’Leary and Will Spensley in May 2001. Originally as Catch22 then later as Talent Zone, and now as Pinpoint HRM, despite the name changes the business has remained true to it’s original vision –- to be a specialist corporate advisory firm raising the awareness of and assisting employers to adopt the latest developments in recruitment. With a long and visionary history in the graduate recruitment industry, Will pioneered and continually contributed to many initiatives in the recruitment industry. For example, he was co-founder of NGA.net, which in 1998 delivered the first web based searchable resume database in Australia . Elizabeth was one of Will’s early clients, an experienced corporate recruiter at Accenture. When they joined forces they quickly gained a reputation for providing ground breaking research, advice and education for the corporate recruitment industry. Tragically, in September 2003 at age 34 Will passed away from conditions associated with a rare illness. At the time Elizabeth had only recently been lured away by one of their biggest clients, Macquarie Bank. To service existing clients and continue to build on its success, the business hired e-Recruitment expert Craig Aunger, a long time friend and business associate of Will. Craig quickly added some new clients and began to rebuild the team. In February 2004 he purchased the business from the founders and by November 2004 the business had added services which help clients to optimise their use of recruitment technology on an ongoing basis, and changed its name to Pinpoint HRM to reflect this expansion. In 2007 the business expanded into assisting organisations to develop their Integrated Talent Management Strategy, including selection and implementation of systems spanning recruitment, employee performance, learning and succession management. Today, the business has more than 15 consultants from a variety of complimentary backgrounds and numerous clients across a range of industries.
